8:30am 2 poached eggs with 4 strips streaky bacon, 2 pieces 85% Lindt.
6pm Roast from local Roast House: Roast Chicken, pork and beef with 1 piece pork crackling, 3 pieces of roast pumpkin, green beans and gravy (not exactly primal gravy)
8pm 1 x 30gm MacBar

Saturday 19th February 2011
9am 1 piece 85% Lindt
12:30pm Piece Angus Pure Scotch Fillet with tamari and yum yum mayo (Japanese style fairly rare steak), small glass of berry smoothie, 1 x 30gm MacBar
6pm 3 almond crackers w colby cheese, 1 piece 85% Lindt
8pm Out to dinner with Friends: Portifino (my fav) Veal Involtini (veal stuffed with parma ham and camembert) topped with creamy mushrooms, roast pumpkin, broccoli, zucchini and carrot with a side serve of greens with balsamic.  Decaf Flat White w 1 sugar

Sunday 20th February 2011
8am 2 poached eggs, 4 strips streaky bacon with homemade hollandaise sauce, 1 piece 85% Lindt.
12pm 2 pieces 85% Green & Blacks
3pm Decaf Iced Coffee without the icecream.
6:30pm Roast rolled chicken stuffed with bacon and garlic butter, roast carrot, broccoli and lamb stock + cream reduction, 3 pieces 85% Lindt

Monday 21st February 2011
2pm 4 strips Streaky Bacon, 1 piece 85% Lindt.
6:30pm Almond and Coconut crusted guarnard fried in butter with tuscan seasoning, large salad: Cos leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, capsicum, avocado, feta and yum yum mayo, 1 piece 85% Lindt.

Tuesday 22nd February 2011
1:20pm Lamb Rump with lamb stock + Cream reduction, roast pumpkin, green beans, zucchini sauteed in butter with broccoli, 1 x 30gm MacBar (had this as main meal and this night had too much on so knew I wouldn't have time for dinner)
6:30pm 1 hour Pilate's Class

Wednesday 23rd February 2011
12:45pm 2 Pure Pork Sausages with a little tomato sauce, 2 pieces 85% Lindt.
6:30pm 1 hour Swiss Ball Class
8pm Scotch Fillet Pork rolled roast wrapped in bacon and rosemary, sauteed zucchini, carrot and green beans with tamari + cream sauce.

Thursday 24th February 2011
8am 2 poached eggs, 4 strips streaky bacon. 2 almond crackers with colby cheese, 2 pieces 85% Lindt
12pm Decaf Flat White w 1 sugar, 1 piece 85% Lindt
6pm Rolled chicken stuffed with bacon and garlic, large salad with cos lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, colby cheese and yum yum mayo.  1 x 30gm MacBar.
Friday 25th February 2011 Weigh in 69.0, pretty stoked with a 500gm loss :) 

However this all does seem so trivial after the devastation of the Christchurch Earthquake that hit on Tuesday lunchtime, although I'm not directly affected by the quake as we are in New Plymouth which is the North Island of New Zealand and Christchurch is in the South Island I just feel so so sad for all the people affected, I was teary all day on Tuesday in utter disbelief watching the news and just can't believe how bad it is.

8pm 3 med sized pieces of Meatza with tom paste, italian herbs, cherry toms, ham, pineapple, capsicum, bacon and mozzarella, 4 pieces 85% Lindt.

8am Not oatmeal made with Banana as fruit, topped with cream, 3 pieces 85% G&Blk's chocolate, 2 almond crackers.
10am 20min walk, 1 large decaf flat white w 1 sugar, bite of a golden peach, 1 almond cracker, 1 piece 72% Whittakers Dark Gharna.
5:30pm Piece Angus Pure Scotch fillet steak with beef stock reduction gravy, large spinach greens salad with feta, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and yum yum mayo, 1 30gm Macbar chocolate

11am Decaf flat white w 1 sugar, 1 30gm Macbar chocolate
7pm BBQ Birthday dinner at a friends, Primal Feast!! Piece Angus Pure Scotch fillet, pork slice, real chicken sausage, piece satay chicken and piece bacon with salad, feta, tom, olives, Homemade slaw with cabbage, capsicum, broccoli, celery, fresh corn (not primal) with a homemade creamy dressing made from mostly cream :) was beautiful!

5:45pm Homemade Thai Green chicken curry with cauliflower rice.
6:30pm 1 hour Advanced Pilate's Class (yes I was sore for a few days ;)

12pm BBQ'd Lamb Steak marinated with Italian seasoning, Edamame beans fried in butter and tamari topped with yum yum mayo, 2 almond crackers, 2 pieces 85% Lindt.
7pm Roast boneless chicken stuffed with cheese and bacon, roast pumpkin, parsnip and carrot, broccoli with gravy + cream reduction. 1 piece Primal Brownie w greek yoghurt, 1 piece 85% Lindt.

Saturday 5th February 2011
8am Large piece of brownie, 5 slices of grilled bacon, 2 poached eggs and homemade hollandaise, too full so only ate 3 pcs of the bacon and 1 egg, that's what happens when you eat brownie for breakfast doh!
6pm 2 chicken wings stuffed with seasoned pork mince deep fried nom nom, satay chicken with added cashews.  1 piece of Brownie with cream, hand full of pistachios  and 2 pieces of 85% Lindt.  Got too full and had reflux all night!

Sunday 6th February 2011
1pm Guacamole made with avocado, 1 tsp sour
cream, chopped up cherry tomatoes, coriander/cilantro, hot sauce, lemon juice s&p, 12 almond crackers to go with guacamole, 2 pieces of brownie and 1 decaf flat white with 1 tsp sugar.
7pm Spinach greens topped with cucumber, cherry toms, avocado, roast pumpkin, chicken, bacon and feta with balsamic and avocado oil.  3 pieces of 70% Dark Ghana
Terrible day of chocolate cravings today, that time of a girls month where all hell breaks lose!

Monday 7th February 2011
9am 2 egg omelet w cream fried in butter, filled w ham, tomato, coriander/cilantro and cheese, 2 pieces of 85% lindt.
2pm BBQ Bacon double cheeseburger w extra mayo (no bun), 2 pieces of 85% lindt, 1 almond cracker.
6:30pm 4 lamb cutlets with cream + lamb stock reduction, broccoli, green beans, edamame beans with yum yum mayo and field mushrooms, 2 pieces of 85% Lindt.

Tuesday 8th February 2011
12pm 5 small chicken nibbles fried in butter, 3 almond crackers, 1 piece 85% Lindt.
2pm 2 pieces of sweet and salty dark chocolate
5:45pm Pork stir fry - onion, ginger, garlic, carrot, full of beans mix (yellow, green and edamame), slow roasted pork slices, almond butter, tamari, beef stock and coconut cream, 3 pieces of 70% Dark Ghana and 2 pieces 85% Lindt.  Couldn't finish all my dinner, left about 1/4 of it.

Thursday 10th February 2011
10:30am Scrambled eggs topped with smoked salmon made by my wonderful husband after a few stressful days at work thought he'd make me breakfast :) 2 pieces 85% lindt.
3pm 3 almond crackers with cream cheese, smoked salmon + herb salt, 1 piece 85% Lindt.
7:30pm 3chicken wings stuffed with seasoned pork mince deep fried from thai takeaways nom!!, 1 30gm Macbar - 70% Dark chocolate with macadamias (locally made too)
9pm 3 almond crackers with cream cheese, smoked salmon + herb salt, 1 piece 85% Lindt topped with almond butter.

Friday 11th February 2011 weigh in 70.7 - so no weight loss this week, i'm actually shocked that I didn't gain due to the insane amount of food I have eaten this week eg far too much brownie.  No excuses though I'm aiming to hit the 60's next week so time to get a bit stricter!  Hope you are all still enjoying the journal and pictures :)

So I always find that being away from home always poses a couple more challenges with sticking to a Primal routine, it can still be done just maybe a little more laid back than I am when at home, hence the indulgence in Mum's amazing Tiramisu.  This week hasn't been great on the weight loss front and after last week's weigh in using Mum's scales I found when I weighed at home on the same day they were out by about 200-300gms lighter, no biggie.  So I haven't lost any this week and in fact probably put on a little compared with last Friday's weigh in although I am pre-menstrual and the scales always seem a bit higher at that time of the month and I did have two helpings of desert which may have had something to do with it ;)  Has been a great week though and I'm not stressed about it, just a minor bump, back in routine now! Enjoy the food journal, it was a yummy week of mostly primal food ;)

1pm Out to lunch: 7 BBQ Lamb Cutlets.
6pm Family get together dinner: Roast Chicken, 1 thigh, small bit of lettuce salad with egg and mayo, medium sized bowl of homemade Tiramisu, Decaf Flat White w 1 tsp sugar, 1 piece 85% Lindt.

Sunday 30th January 2011
8:30am 2 poached eggs, 4 pieces of Grilled Middle Bacon with hollandaise, 1 piece 85% Lindt.
1pm Out to Lunch at Wagamama: stir-fried chicken and cumin salad - tender chicken marinated in cumin, chilli, coriander and garlic, stir- fried with red onions and beansprouts tossed in a ginger tamarind sauce. served on a salad of baby spinach with wagamama house dressing. garnished with slice red chilli, Edamame beans and 2 ebi katsu - deep-fried tiger prawns in crispy panko breadcrumbs served with a spicy red chilli and garlic sauce. garnished with a wedge of lime.
2pm Medium sized bowl of leftover Tiramisu, Decaf Flat White w 1 tsp sugar, 1 piece 85% Lindt
Road trip home again :)

10am 3 pieces of grilled middle bacon, 2 almond pancakes/pikelet size... topped with almond butter, 2 pieces of 85% Lindt.
6:30pm Homemade Thai Green Chicken Curry, Edamame beans with yum yum mayo, 1 piece 85% Lindt.
8:50pm Out with friends for desert: Resisted ordering desert so just had Decaf flat white w 1 tsp sugar.

Wednesday 2nd February 2011

6:45pm 2 pieces of Meatza topped with cream cheese and pesto, caramelised onions, bacon, pepperoni, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.  2 pieces 70% Old Gold.

Thursday 3rd February 2011
10:15am 2 pcs of Leftover Meatza, 2 pieces 85% Lindt, 2 pcs of 70% Old Gold.
7pm BBQ Dinner for a friends farewell: Lamb chop, 1/2 pc steak, 4 mini chicken nibbles and a small portion of  homemade coleslaw.
